FIRST DAY IN THE CITY CENTER

I was finally able to get my bus pass today and explore more than just the local area.

Made my first excursion to the popular city center of Birmingham. Like always, it was packed and full madness.

Went down to the always reliable Forbidden Planet and picked up a couple of very irresistible Simon Bisely comics.



Afterwards, we strolled through the center where I got myself reacquainted with the expansive area.

The famous British police were also in attendance (with their batons), regulating as much as they could on the busy streets:



We also caught the home stadium of local football club, FC Birmingham, on the way back:



As we got off the bus, we began our walk back home. As we turned the corner, I noticed a very familiar bag in the distance being carried towards us. To say the bag was eye-catching would a huge understatement. Just see for yourself:



The carrier turned out to be my Mom, marching forward. She was on the way to pick up her own bus pass and take in the local sights for herself.



All in all, it was a fun day but nothing to exhausting. Hopefully, I'm going to try and kick it up a notch from here on out and fully take use of the time spent in the second biggest city in England.

Touchdown!

So after 12 hrs. of flying, I finally hailed down into London this mourning. Not a bad flight at all. I initially thought my Laptop power cord would be too powerful for the in-flight electric plug to handle. Shockingly, it was able juice my Laptop for the entire duration!

I ended up gaming for about 5-6 hours straight on my Sony Vaio. What can I say, The Witcher is an additive game. :)



Anyways, I was able to take some cool pictures of the London cityscape as we touched down through my iPhone :







Oddly enough, for about 30 mins. the airplane did circles around Heathrow airport. The in-flight screen presented an amusing visual representation:



After we landed, we were pleasantly greeted by my Uncle, Aunt, and Grandmother who had graciously taken the trip from Birmingham to London to welcome both us and 6 gigantic suitcases.

And now, after two Red Bulls (sugar free) and 12 more hours, I've yet to get any sleep. Running on only 2 hours of sleep. Probably will end up crashing out in the early evening.

Oh, one more thing. It's good to be home!

Flight...Incoming

The bags are packed, the laptop charged, and iPOD loaded with hours of music.

The two looong flights are practically less than 12 hrs. away.

Only thing I need now is sleep. Sandman, where are you?

If everything goes according to plan (which it never does), my next entry will be transmitted from the green fields of England. :)

America, I bid thee ADIEU...

The Time Has Almost ARRIVED!

I leave in just two days. 48 HRS!

Everything seems to be mounting as I gear up for the trip.

This past week has been jam packed with planning, packing, finalizing, picking up paperwork, and frantically playing through some last minute AMAZING games. Probably shouldn't be doing the last one, though. :)

I've now just set up my first blog for my forthcoming trip to the EUROPE!!!

Currently packing and gearing up for one EXCITING adventure abroad. Learning Italian, eating pasta, and exploring Europe should all be on the endless itinerary.

Hopefully I'll be updating this blog progressively with many pictures and videos once the journey commences because we all know how much you hate to read. ;)
